The Tahoe Waterman Foundation provides the opportunity for people of all ages with life-changing injuries and challenges to access the healing power of water through paddle sports. In collaboration with Tahoe Waterman's Landing in Carnelian Bay, the foundation provides resources and educational programs with the objective to create a positive changes for those facing life-changing challenges.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization since 2014, Waterman Foundation Tahoe has helped countless kids, first responders, and veterans to find joy and love in paddle sports. Our goal is to change the life of many - one stroke at the time.

Water has long been known to have a calming and restorative effect on the human body. Scientific studies have shown that spending time near, in, on, or under water can offer a variety of physical, mental, and emotional benefits. For example, it can decrease stress and anxiety levels, improve mood, and increase physical activity and abilities. Additionally, it can help to improve cognitive functioning, increase creativity, and even help with self-confidence. Furthermore, being near water can improve concentration and help to promote a sense of relaxation, connection, and well-being. It's no surprise that spending time in or near water can make us happier, healthier, more connected!
