Adaptive Paddling - Healing power of water through paddle sport experiences
The Waterman Foundation Tahoe was created in 2010 with the passion of Anik and Jay Wild for paddling and Lake Tahoe. Founded by elite athletes. The initial idea was to get local kids on the water, learning water safety, growing and enjoying human-powered paddle sports on Lake Tahoe.
Today, the 501 (c)3 non-profit organization has evolved to serve people of all ages who are facing life-changing injuries and mental and physical health challenges.
The foundation provides resources and educational programs with the objective of creating positive changes through time on the water and time with fellow paddlers. Our Adaptive Paddling Programs make use of the healing power of water through paddle sport experiences.
